Andreas Gocke, Boston Consulting Group

Andreas Gocke studied business management at Universität Tübingen, Brown University in the United States, and Universität St. Gallen in Switzerland, ultimately earning a doctoral degree. Before beginning his career at BCG, he studied the strategic aspects of mergers and acquisitions at a research institute. He joined BCG's Munich office in 1996 and primarily supports industrial goods clients, including functional topics such as supply chain management, turnaround management, brand strategies for industrial goods, and portfolio strategies. Andreas spent 1999 at the BCG Brussels office under the auspices of the Global Ambassador program.

Andreas Gocke is married and the proud father of Aurelia Donata an Philippa, who are a delightful and never dull change of pace from consulting.



Dr. Lutz Raettig, Chairman of the Managing Board, Morgan Stanley Bank AG

Lutz R. Raettig is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Morgan Stanley Bank AG, Frankfurt, since 1st of February 2005. He also serves as a Director of Morgan Stanley Bank International Limited, London, and of Morgan Stanley International Limited, London. From September 1995 to December 2004, Lutz Raettig was Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Bank AG, Frankfurt. In addition, he was Vice Chairman Europe and Country Head for Germany and Austria.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Lutz Raettig served as Executive Vice President for Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt and New York for eight years, inter alia as Head of Investment Banking, Head of Global Corporate Banking and finally as Co-Head of Northamerica in New York. Prior to that, he worked for Westdeutsche Landesbank (WestLB) in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, London (Orion Banking Group) and New York for 18 years, primarily in the areas of Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Corporate Banking.

Lutz Raettig has been involved in a great number of projects and transactions, especially in the public sector, the financial services industry and various industrial companies.

He is also involved in a number of Boards, among others Chairman of the Stock Exchange Council of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Member of the Board of the Association of German Banks, Member of the Executive Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany and Director of Genworth Financial Mortgage Insurance Limited, London.

Born in Berlin in 1943, he went to school in Bremen and graduated in business administration and economics at the University of Hamburg in 1967. He received his PhD in 1969 and worked as assistant professor in banking and finance in Hamburg for three years.



Klaus-Jürgen Bathe, Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Klaus-Jürgen Bathe is a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests are computational mechanics procedures for solids, structures, fluids and fluid-structure interactions. His teaching interests are finite element methods, continuum mechanics and dynamics.

Mr. Bathe, received his bachelor's degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 1967. In 1969 he earned his Master's Degree from the University of Calgary, Canada. In addition he received his PhD from the Univeristy of California, Berkley in 1971. In addition Mr. Bathe holds the following degrees:

Volker Westedt, Deutsche Bahn AG

Volker Westedt was born in Stuttgart in 1973. He studied law at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. During his legal traineeship, which he concluded with the second state examination at the federal state court (Oberlandesgericht) in Munich, Volker Westedt worked in Duisburg and Fort Myers (FL, USA)

From 2000 to 2003 Volker Westedt worked as a consultant in Human Resources management. His special focus was on the development of HR management solutions, labor law and collective bargaining agreements for medium sized businesses.

In 2003 Volker Westedt joined Deutsche Bahn AG as a trainee in the company's junior executive program. The traineeship was followed by a position at a DB subsidiary as personnel officer with regional responsibility for the area of labor law.

From 2005 to the end of 2006 Volker Westedt worked as assistant to the Executive Board Member Human Resources at Deutsche Bahn AG. In this function he was also responsible for the coordination of HR communication.



Winfried Holz, Managing Director Fujitsu Services Germany

Winfried Holz started as Managing Director for Fujitsu Services Germany in June 2006. In this position he is responsible for the company’s operations as well as for the expansion of the German business of Fujitsu Services. He aims at bringing Fujitsu Services into the Top 10 German IT Services providers.

Winfried has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Before he joined Fujitsu Services he was the head of the global solutions business at Siemens Business Services (SBS). Prior to this he presided over the global operations of Siemens Medical Solutions and – as CEO – was responsible for the restructuring of Siemens Health Services. Furthermore he held several executive positions at Siemens.



Ralf Roth, Chief Infrastructure Officer Global Prime Finance, Managing Director

Ralf Roth is the Chief Infrastructure Officer for Deutsche Bank's Global Prime Finance department. He is responsible for the technology and operations platform from a tactical as well as a strategic perspective.

Ralf joined Deutsche Bank in 1994 as part of the fixed income trading business in Frankfurt as a quantitative analyst and was the architect of Deutsche Banks fixed income electronic trading franchise. He also held various positions in business administration and central management in Deutsche Bank's the Global Markets division.

Before joining Deutsche Bank Ralf was an assistant professor at the "Universität des Saarlandes" where he has teaching Computer Algebra and Cryptography. He holds a master in computer science from the "Universität des Saarlandes".



Paulo Gonçalves, MIT Sloan School of Management

Paulo Gonçalves is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the System Dynamics group at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Technology and Policy from MIT and a Ph.D. in Management Science and System Dynamics from MIT Sloan School of Management. His work focuses on understanding how managers react to supply chain disruptions, and the operational and strategic problems that ensue. Current research interests include the development of supply chain experiments for understanding and improving managerial decision making in logistic systems. His work combines a number of techniques such as simulation, optimization, econometrics and non-linear dynamics.
